Gracias a HP, a los partcipantes y al ITCSPR.ORG – Windows 2k8 Boot Camp at Hewlett-Packard Aguadilla Puerto Rico

Hewlett- Packard junto al IT Commnunity Staff celebraron un "Boot Camp – Windows Server 2008 / Virtualization" en la casa de HP ayer sabado 29 de junio de 2008 en Aguadilla. El grupo de HP, liderado por el Ing. Frank Torres, Ing. Naomi Avellanet e Ing. Tatiana Avellanet (HALO TEAM = Hewlett-Packard Aguadilla Puerto Rico), recibieron a inegrantes del IT Community Staff Puerto Rico y a los invitados especiales (Participantes VIPs) para un dia de "Hands On" Virtualization & Windows Server 2008 Enterprise. Cada uno de los participantes del evento realizo, inistalo y configuro sus propios servidores en abientes virtuales (Virtual PC o VMWARE). Luego de un laboratorio todos los participantes trabajaron con Servidores HP Modelo 380 G5 con arreglo de discos RAID 1. El grupo pudo utilizar la nueva version de HP PROLIANT ESSENTIALS FOUNDATION PACK "V8.0."

IT Administrators with PowerShell Experience Wanted for Usability Studies in the Redmond Area

Microsoft Usability is conducting a study focusing on the remoting feature of PowerShell version 2 from July 22 to July 29, 2008. This is a great opportunity for IT administrators who have experience working with PowerShell to provide feedback and help improve the user experience of PowerShell version 2.
The study will be conducted in a lab setting on Microsoft’s main campus in Redmond, Washington. It is important for you to know that you do not need to prepare anything for this. We want to learn from you, the experts, to determine what needs to be improved in our software. We highly value your feedback and will be offering you a gratuity option in appreciation of your time and participation.
