Hi,

You may already be aware that the PASS Community Summit 2007 is coming up in September (18 – 21) in Denver, Colorado. This is the largest community driven event in the world dedicated to Microsoft SQL Server and Business Intelligence. This summit is three intense days of education, networking and interaction with over 120 sessions ranging from introductory topics to deep-dive education. These sessions are delivered by over 115 leading industry experts like Bill Baker, Itzik Ben-Gan, Andrew Kelly, Kevin Kline, Kalen Delaney and Gert Drapers to name a few. We also have an exciting lineup of Business Intelligence sessions along with sessions geared towards Performance Point Server 2007, which is being launched that same week. If you are interested in learning about how SQL Server 2008 might impact your current development plans, there are 9 sessions dedicated to changes in SQL Server 2008. We also have over 6 break-out sessions and chalk-talk sessions by the SQL Server Customary Advisory Team (SQL CAT), which will delve into best practices and lessons learned from large installations of SQL Server. This team also runs the SQL Server Best Practices site and this is your opportunity to meet with all the team members and learn from their experience.

For deeper education, we have 2 days of full-day Pre-conference sessions (September 17th and 18th) with 10 incredible topics to choose from. These pre-conference sessions provide in-depth education in key areas of SQL Server and Business Intelligence. Check out the pre-conference seminars at https://www.sqlpass.org/summit/Pages/Pre-Conference.aspx. In addition to education, there are also a lot of networking opportunities and the ability to ask specific questions to industry experts, Microsoft MVP’s, Microsoft Product Team and others through our MS/SQL Lounge where attendees can also attend one of our chalk-talk sessions. There will also be over 35 vendors to speak with regarding products and services that may benefit your organization. I urge you to check out the complete Summit details at https://www.sqlpass.org. Attendees will also be able to purchase a DVD of the conference proceedings or view it online after the conference so that the educational experience continues well past the summit. Register prior to August 31st to take advantage of the discounted price. Also, consider taking advantage of group pricing (for groups of 5 or more). Hotel space is also filling up fast. So, please make arrangements for travel and accommodation as quickly as possible so that you do not lose out on one of the best educational experience of the year.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or email me. Also, please share the information with your colleagues or clients who may also be interested in attending this event.

Cheers,

Rushab Metha – PASS
